The Yukon is Calling - Are you in?

A once-in-a-lifetime mountain bike adventure is taking shape, and there are four spots left with your name on them.

This September 2026, a group of riders is heading deep into Canada's wild north for eight days of world-class singletrack, jaw-dropping scenery, 24-hour daylight, and the kind of camaraderie that only happens when you're far from home and deep in the mountains. The destination? Whitehorse, Yukon — North America's best-kept mountain biking secret.

Whether you ride with a club here in Ontario or you're a solo rider looking for your next big adventure, this trip is open to you. We need four more committed riders to make it happen.

What Makes the Yukon Special?

Forget what you think you know about northern Canada. The Yukon isn't just remote wilderness — it's a mountain biker's paradise with professionally built singletrack, stunning alpine descents, and trails funded and crafted by Indigenous communities with pride and precision. The trails flow through boreal forest, drop from sub-alpine ridgelines, and finish at the shores of pristine glacial lakes. Every day on this trip is a different trail system, a different view, and a different kind of stoke.

The Itinerary at a Glance

The trip runs 8 days out of Whitehorse, with the heart of it spent at the legendary Boréale Ranch — a year-round adventure lodge built for exactly this kind of experience.

Day 1 — Fly into Whitehorse, transfer to the Ranch, meet your fellow riders over a welcome BBQ, and get your bike dialed in.

Day 2 — Grey Mountain Trails — Your introduction to Yukon dirt. Swooping singletrack through boreal forest with sweeping views of the Whitehorse valley and the coastal mountains near Carcross. This is the warm-up, and it's already spectacular.

Day 3 — Mount MacIntyre Trails — Cross the valley and explore a completely different trail network. Purpose-built tracks ranging from smooth to loamy to technical, with elevated viewpoints that reframe the whole landscape.

Day 4 — Montana Mountain, Carcross — Drive to the village of Carcross and ride trails built by local Carcross Tagish First Nation youth through the Singletrack for Success program. Set in some of Canada's most beautiful scenery, these trails snake down the mountain and finish at the edge of Bennett Lake.

Day 5 — MacDonald Creek — The newest trail in the Montana Mountain network. Start in the sub-alpine, descend to the shores of mighty Lake Bennett, then spin the 7 km Wayne's World cross-country trail back to Carcross town. You'll earn that ice cream cone at Bennett Beach.

Days 6 & 7 — Whitehorse — Two nights at the Sternwheeler Hotel to rest your legs, explore the city, and optionally join a hot springs and wildlife tour ($220–$250/person).

Day 8 — Fly home with a full memory card and empty legs.

  • All ground transportation throughout the trip
  • 4 days of fully guided mountain bike excursions
  • All meals (dinner on Day 1; breakfast only on Days 6 & 7)

What's Not Included

  • Airfare to Whitehorse (the group is flying Air North out of Toronto Pearson — get in touch for the flight itinerary already booked)
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Tips and gratuities
  • Bike rental if needed (e-MTB at $170/day, full suspension at $120/day)

The Cost

Approximately $2,000 CAD per person covers accommodations, food, and airport transfers — based on a group of 12 riders. Flights are estimated at around $1,000, depending on timing and deals, and the group has already done the legwork on that.

For riders who don't want to pedal every day, there's also an optional hiking excursion available at $449/day — so partners or friends who want to tag along without riding all four days are welcome too.

Who Is This Trip For?

This trip is organized by Bikes and Beers Adventures and is open to riders from any Ontario club or solo riders looking to join a welcoming, adventure-minded group. You don't need to be a shredder — you need to love riding, love the outdoors, and be ready to have the trip of your life.

We currently have the core group locked in and are looking for four more riders to commit to make this trip happen at the planned cost. Spots won't last — once they're gone, they're gone.
